Jeff Kehoe is an experienced NSW jockey with over 25 years in the saddle. In the infancy of his career he was based with the highly regarded Johnny Lundholm at Coonamble and quickly went through the grades. Johnny was a mentor and he taught him how to approach the younger horses and patience was a key element.

 

In his apprenticeship he had the opportunity to ride high quality racehorses like Referral, Tie The Knot and Intergaze.

 

"I definitely know what a champion feels like and I can't wait to train one in the future".

 

Jeff and his family moved from the west to Wyong where he had the opportunity to work for Kristen Buchanan and his brother Allan. He is a well established jockey in NSW and he now wants to turn his attention to training.

"I'm getting toward the end of my riding career and now I want to see how I go as a trainer. I'm hungry to make a name for myself and Port Macquarie is the perfect base".

Jeff is very approachable, hard working and dedicated Port Macquarie trainer. He is a family man and you will have full access to a trainer on the up from his Port Macquarie Race Club base.
